The Biltmore Estate, a major tourist destination in Asheville, N.C., has announced it will reopen on November 2 after being temporarily closed due to damage caused by Hurricane Helene. The 8,000-acre estate shut its doors in late September to address repairs on the grounds and facilities, particularly in low-lying areas affected by flooding and the estate’s main entrance.
Fortunately, key attractions such as the Biltmore House, conservatory, winery, gardens, and lodging facilities—including its hotel and cottages—suffered little to no damage.
Guests holding tickets or reservations before the reopening date can reschedule their visit anytime before November 2, 2025, or request a full refund.
In response to the storm’s impact, Biltmore has established the $2 million Biltmore Relief Fund for WNC. The fund is dedicated to assisting employees in need and supporting local nonprofits such as the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, and World Central Kitchen.
