Several cruise lines have made changes to their Caribbean and Bermuda itineraries as Hurricane Milton intensifies. The storm is expected to reach Category 5 strength before striking Florida's west coast late Wednesday. Tampa International Airport will close Tuesday as a precaution, with cruise lines monitoring the situation closely.

Carnival Cruise Line
The Carnival Pride has adjusted its seven-day Bermuda cruise, departing from Baltimore on October 6, to arrive at Bermuda a day earlier than planned. The ship is still scheduled to stay for three days. Other itineraries under observation include the Carnival Paradise out of Tampa, Carnival Valor and Carnival Liberty out of New Orleans, Carnival Elation from Jacksonville, Carnival Glory from Port Canaveral, and Carnival Sunrise from Miami.

Royal Caribbean International
Royal Caribbean has made significant itinerary changes to avoid the storm's impact:

  • The Grandeur of the Seas will alter its five-day Western Caribbean sailing from Tampa on October 7 to head for the Eastern Caribbean instead, with a stop at Nassau on October 10, skipping Costa Maya and Cozumel.
  • The Independence of the Seas, departing Miami on October 5, will visit Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic on October 8 instead of Cozumel.
  • The Harmony of the Seas, sailing from Galveston on October 6, will spend October 8 at sea and call at Costa Maya on October 9, skipping Roatan.
  • The Symphony of the Seas, departing Cape Liberty, New Jersey, on October 6, will bypass Port Canaveral, Perfect Day at CocoCay, and Nassau. Instead, it will visit Puerto Plata on October 9 and Labadee, Haiti, on October 10.
  • The Wonder of the Seas, leaving Port Canaveral on October 6, will call at Falmouth, Jamaica, on October 9, skipping Cozumel and Roatan, before visiting Costa Maya on October 11.
  • The Utopia of the Seas will swap its planned stops during its October 7 cruise, calling at Perfect Day at CocoCay on October 8 and Nassau on October 10.

Celebrity Cruises
The Celebrity Reflection has shifted its itinerary for its four-day voyage from Fort Lauderdale, skipping Key West on October 8 in favor of Nassau.

MSC Cruises
MSC Cruises is finalizing its plans to adapt sailings but has yet to announce detailed itinerary changes.

Norwegian Cruise Line
NCL reports that none of its ships are currently in the affected region.

Cruise lines are continuing to monitor Hurricane Milton's progress, with further updates expected as the storm approaches.
