Denmark has been selected to host the prestigious MICHELIN Guide Ceremony for the Nordic Countries in both 2025 and 2026, further solidifying its place as a global culinary destination. The 2025 ceremony is set for June 16 at the Anneberg Kulturpark in Odsherred, while the 2026 event will be hosted at Copenhagen's iconic Tivoli Gardens.

This two-year partnership, made possible through collaboration with the Food Organisation of Denmark, Visit Odsherred, and Wonderful Copenhagen, will shine a spotlight on Denmark’s innovative and sustainable approach to cuisine. Denmark’s ascent on the culinary map, marked by its 31 Starred restaurants and 101 recommended establishments in the 2024 Nordic MICHELIN Guide, has made it a top destination for food enthusiasts worldwide.

In Odsherred, a UNESCO Global Geopark known for its immersive food experiences, attendees will experience Denmark’s farm-to-table philosophy. The 2025 ceremony at Anneberg Kulturpark will offer a unique ambiance on the grounds of a former psychiatric hospital, now a hub where art, culture, and gastronomy converge. Visitors can partake in local explorations like seaweed safaris, wine and beer tastings, and meals at Mota, a MICHELIN-Starred restaurant within the park.

For 2026, the setting shifts to Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, an entertainment and culinary landmark with 181 years of history. Known for promoting Danish gastronomy, Tivoli Gardens hosts diverse food events, including the Tivoli Food Festival and exclusive pop-up dining experiences. As an urban counterpart to Odsherred’s rural charm, Tivoli exemplifies the country’s blend of culinary innovation and tradition.

Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guides, remarked, “We are absolutely thrilled to announce that The MICHELIN Guide Ceremony for the Nordic Countries will be presented from Denmark for the next two years. Designed to be a celebration of the whole Nordic gastronomic scene, our 2025 and 2026 globally-followed Ceremonies will therefore be the perfect occasion to promote the values and uniqueness of the recent Danish gastronomic trajectory.”

The Danish government expressed pride in this achievement, with Industry Minister Morten Bødskov calling Denmark a “gastronomic epicenter,” and Jacob Jensen, Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries, highlighting Denmark’s commitment to quality and innovation. Jensen noted, “It’s the entire food chain – from soil to table – that makes Denmark a culinary powerhouse.”

As Denmark prepares to host the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony, it continues to underscore the country’s culinary legacy, celebrating the skill and creativity of its chefs and the unique flavors born from its landscapes.
