Frontier Airlines is expanding its travel offerings with the introduction of a monthly all-you-can-fly pass, reminiscent of JetBlue's iconic 30-day unlimited pass from 2010. This new addition to Frontier's GoWild! Pass lineup allows travelers to enjoy unlimited flights for a 30-day period at a time.
For the first month, there's a one-time enrollment fee of $49. Subsequent months are priced at $149, with the pass automatically renewing every 30 days unless canceled. Domestic flights can be booked one day in advance, while international flights require a 10-day notice. Additional costs, such as baggage fees and seat assignments, are not covered by the pass.
Frontier's GoWild! Pass is available in three other formats:
- Annual GoWild! Pass: Priced at $1,999, it covers travel from April 11, 2023, to May 2, 2024.
- Summer GoWild! Pass: Initially offered at $499, it covers travel from April 11 to September 30, 2023. Renewals will cost $999.
- Fall & Winter GoWild! Pass: Introduced at $299, it's valid from September 2, 2023, to February 29, 2024. Renewals are set at $999.
The pass provides access to over 85 of Frontier's destinations, both domestic and international. However, there are blackout dates, and last-minute seat availability is not guaranteed.
While the concept of unlimited flying is enticing, potential buyers should weigh the benefits against the costs. Regular Frontier sales might offer more value than the pass, especially when considering additional fees and the uncertainty of last-minute bookings. Nonetheless, for those with flexible schedules and a penchant for spontaneous travel, the GoWild! Pass could be an attractive option.
