MSC Cruises is set to significantly expand its North American operations for the winter 2025-26 season, adding two new ships and a fourth homeport to its lineup. The cruise line will increase its presence to seven ships sailing from U.S. ports, up from five ships in the upcoming winter season.

One of the major highlights of this expansion is the addition of Galveston, Texas, as a new homeport. This joins the existing homeports of Miami, Port Canaveral, and New York City. The deployment will see an enhanced offering from each port, with specific ships and itineraries catering to a variety of cruise durations and destinations.

In Port Canaveral, MSC will double its offerings with the introduction of the MSC Grandiosa, which will embark on seven-night Caribbean itineraries. Additionally, the MSC Seashore is slated to offer three- and four-day cruises from this port.

Miami will continue to be a significant hub for MSC Cruises. The MSC World America, making its debut in April 2025, will continue to operate from Miami with seven-night Caribbean voyages the following winter. Furthermore, the MSC Seaside will offer a range of itineraries from three to seven nights, while the MSC Divina will provide Caribbean routes lasting up to 11 nights.

Galveston will host its first MSC ship, the MSC Seascape, which will begin seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries in November 2025. This launch is part of an agreement for a new terminal at the port, highlighting MSC’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the region.

The MSC Meraviglia will maintain its year-round presence from New York's Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, offering seven-night itineraries to Florida and the Bahamas.

This strategic expansion underscores MSC Cruises' dedication to increasing its market share in North America and providing diverse and flexible cruise options to a growing customer base.
