The Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows, which served as temporary housing for residents displaced by the 2023 Lahaina wildfires, has officially reopened for business on Maui's Ka'anapali Beach. As part of its reopening, the resort is unveiling two new culinary venues on September 3. These include Lahaina Noon, an oceanfront restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, happy hour, and dinner, and Pineapple Moon, an open-air poolside bar.
In addition to the new dining options, the resort has undergone several renovations. The lobby and pool areas have been refreshed, and the resort's 127 private bungalows now feature midcentury-inspired décor, enhancing the guest experience with a modern touch.
Further enhancements are planned, with the Royal Lahaina set to expand its wedding and event spaces. This expansion includes the introduction of oceanfront wedding suites complete with concierge services. Additionally, the Alana Spa is adding a new oceanfront extension, which will include six private suites and an updated treatment menu.
The reopening of the Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows marks a significant step in Maui's ongoing recovery from the devastating 2023 wildfires, which had a profound impact on the island's tourism industry. The resort's return to operation not only provides a boost to the local economy but also offers renewed hope for the community as it rebuilds.
