Uber has launched a new service named "Boat" on the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos, as Greece anticipates welcoming millions of tourists this summer. The innovative service allows both visitors and residents of the island to book a speedboat trip via the Uber app.
The speedboats, which can accommodate up to eight people, offer a unique opportunity for users to explore the island from a different perspective. The service is part of Uber's strategy to position Greece at the heart of the European market and bolster its support for Greek tourism by providing affordable and safe transportation options for both residents and visitors.
The "Boat" service will be available from late June to October and will be provided on-demand by a local licensed operator. Users of the Uber app can book speedboat tours at the touch of a button, ensuring easy and reliable transportation around Mykonos.
In addition to the new "Boat" service, the Uber Taxi service is also available in several Greek locations, including Athens, Thessaloniki, Santorini, and Mykonos.
