Anticipation is building in Incline Village Crystal Bay as the not-for-profit organization Red, White & Tahoe Blue II spearheads an effort to revive the beloved Fourth of July fireworks display, with community support at its core. Drawing from the collective spirit and generosity of both residents and visitors, this initiative seeks to illuminate the night sky in a testament to tradition, unity, and patriotic celebration.

The tradition of hosting dazzling fireworks, previously celebrated as the sixth-best show in the country, has been a source of communal pride and joy. "Fireworks brought us together as a community. We celebrate our town and our nation. It's time to bring that back with a bang," passionately states Jim Smith, Board Chair of Red, White & Tahoe Blue II. Revitalizing this tradition, however, requires substantial support and funding. While specific fundraising targets have not been disclosed by Red, White & Tahoe Blue II, an analysis based on previous years suggests that around $150,000 might be necessary for a successful event. If every resident contributes approximately $25, this collective effort could exceed the fundraising goal necessary to make the fireworks a reality.

Lantis Fireworks, the creators behind the mesmerizing displays of years past, are eager to contribute to the celebration once again. "It would be a very little show without the community's help," acknowledges Ken Lantis, underscoring the significance of every donation towards achieving a spectacular show.

As July 4 approaches, the urgency to secure funding and finalize plans intensifies. Smith elaborates on the organization's ambition: "We are not only hoping to get these launched this year, but our goal is to build a foundation as well, so we can have shows every year from here on out." This vision extends beyond a single night of fireworks, aiming to establish a sustainable tradition that can be cherished by future generations.

The grand fireworks are scheduled to commence at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, promising an unforgettable display of unity and festivity. Community members and enthusiasts eager to support this vibrant comeback are encouraged to make their contributions through the event's official website at https://rwtb.fun.

Red, White & Tahoe Blue II embodies the spirit of community and collaboration, dedicated to fostering a sense of togetherness through the annual Fourth of July celebration. As the initiative to bring back the fireworks gathers momentum, it stands as a reminder of what can be achieved when a community unites for a common cause: a spectacular celebration of independence, funded by us, for us, lighting up the sky above Incline Village Crystal Bay in a dazzling declaration of unity and joy.
