UPDATE: Fatal Avalanche at Palisades Tahoe Resort

Palisades Tahoe has reported a tragic update following the avalanche that occurred this morning on the Palisades side of the resort. The incident took place at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the GS gully area, to the skier’s right of the KT-22 chairlift.

In response to the avalanche, Palisades Tahoe Ski Patrol, along with over 100 resort personnel and members of the public, immediately conducted a thorough search of the area. The search utilized avalanche transceivers, probes, RECCO Rescue System technology, and avalanche rescue dog teams.
