Princess Cruises recently canceled two Regal Princess sailings departing from Galveston, Texas, citing the need for "technical repairs." The affected voyages include the October 27 Western Caribbean cruise, which was canceled just two days prior to departure, and the November 3 itinerary, which was canceled shortly afterward. The cruise line has stated that the ship is expected to resume operations for its next scheduled departure on November 10.
Passengers impacted by these cancellations will be compensated with a future cruise credit totaling 50% of their original fare, a notable increase from the initial 25% offered. This credit can be applied to future bookings made by May 31, 2026, allowing guests flexibility in rebooking.
Additionally, passengers who had purchased a Princess Premier Package for either of the canceled trips during the Captain Circle Loyalty Accelerator promotion will benefit from enhanced loyalty rewards. These include double loyalty points for package holders, while suite guests will receive four times the usual loyalty points.
