Marriott International, Inc. announced today that it has signed an agreement with NEOM to open three luxury properties on Sindalah, an idyllic island situated in the Red Sea off the northwest coast of Saudi Arabia. The deal includes Saudi Arabia's first Autograph Collection Hotels property, as well as two Luxury Collection properties.
Jerome Briet, Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "NEOM is one of the most highly-anticipated developments in the world, and we look forward to working with its team to develop these three exciting properties." Briet also highlighted the unique character of the Luxury Collection and Autograph Collection Hotels, which will be inspired by Sindalah's exceptional natural landscapes.
Set to open in 2024, the two Luxury Collection properties will offer guests authentic experiences rooted in the island's beauty. One beach resort will feature 70 luxury rooms and suites, including one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom villas with private pools. The second project, also expected to open in 2024, will be an all-suite property situated in the heart of Sindalah's retail and marina district.
Autograph Collection Hotels, known for their passion and unique personalities, will debut a property in Sindalah in 2024. The resort is set to offer 66 rooms and suites, including one- and two-bedroom villas, multiple dining options, a kids club, and a spa.
Sindalah, the first of a group of islands to be developed in NEOM, promises to be a captivating Red Sea destination. With over 2,000 marine species, 600 of which are unique to the Red Sea, the island's exquisite facilities and exclusive offerings are surrounded by a stunning ocean environment. Sindalah will also feature a prestigious 86-berth marina for yachts up to 75 meters and serviced offshore buoys for superyachts up to 180m.

With Sindalah expected to start welcoming guests in early 2024, these three Marriott International properties are set to be the first hotels to open on the island, elevating Sindalah as an unmatched Red Sea destination.
