Alaska Airlines is taking inflight dining to new heights with the highly anticipated return of hot meals to their premium onboard menu. The Seattle-based airline has quietly worked behind the scenes for months to curate an expanded selection of chef-crafted dishes, ensuring that guests in both Premium Class and Main Cabin can indulge in a truly elevated culinary experience.

Starting today, passengers on most flights over 1,100 miles can choose from up to five carefully curated dishes, including at least one hot meal option. These delectable offerings, along with Alaska Airlines' signature Fruit & Cheese Platter, are available exclusively through the airline's industry-leading pre-order program.

The airline's Food & Beverage teams have collaborated closely with renowned Chef Tony Wright to create a West Coast-inspired menu that showcases the freshest ingredients and innovative flavor combinations. Born and raised in London's vibrant hotel restaurant scene, Chef Tony brings his culinary expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence to Alaska Airlines' inflight dining experience.

"This airline truly cares about creating a premium onboard experience, and we hope everyone experiences that with every bite of their food," said Chef Tony Wright, expressing his enthusiasm for the new menu.

Among the mouthwatering additions to the menu are the Carnitas Breakfast Bowl, featuring slow-roasted pulled pork, salsa verde, breakfast potatoes, and fresh scrambled eggs, and the Pretzel Roll Sliders with Chips, showcasing two Angus beef patties on KING'S HAWAIIAN® Original Sweet Pretzel Slider Buns, topped with caramelized onions and Swiss cheese.

Alaska Airlines' employees have already given the new menu their stamp of approval. Flight attendant Naomi S.G. raved about the Carnitas Breakfast Bowl, saying, "It's a classic pairing of slow-roasted pork, eggs, and potatoes, but with flavors that work well together to strike a delicious balance."

To make the most of this elevated dining experience, Alaska Airlines encourages guests to take advantage of their first-in-the-industry pre-order option. Meals can be conveniently selected and purchased through the Alaska mobile app or website from two weeks to 20 hours prior to the flight, ensuring a seamless and satisfying inflight experience.

As Alaska Airlines continues to set new standards for inflight dining, travelers can look forward to an unparalleled culinary journey that celebrates the flavors and spirit of the West Coast. With the return of hot meals to the Main Cabin and an expanded selection of premium dishes, Alaska Airlines is poised to become the go-to choice for discerning travelers seeking an elevated inflight experience.
