Leading US Airline Expands Offering for Travelers Craving Tropical Winter Getaways.
As winter rolls in and travelers look for ways to escape the cold, American Airlines is responding by pumping up its winter 2023 schedule with more choices for trips to the Caribbean and Latin America. With two fresh routes on the table and an extension in the frequency of 21 routes, the airline fortifies its reputation as the top dog for non-stop US-Mexico, US-Caribbean, and US-Latin America flights.

Freig, Vice President of Operations and Commercial for Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America, remarks, “This coming winter, we're looking forward to adding more service to the destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean that our customers want to visit, including popular spots like Cancun, Montego Bay, and Punta Cana, as well as our newest destination, Tortola.”
Anticipating more than 2,250 weekly flights to 90 destinations in the region, American Airlines is all set to see a significant 10% rise in seat capacity as compared to winter 2022.
Highlights for Travelers
Expanded Service from Charlotte (CLT) Beginning on December 5, American Airlines will enhance its services on 10 routes from Charlotte, North Carolina. This means customers will enjoy 40% more seats on flights from CLT to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America compared to winter 2022.
New Non-Stop Flights to Cancun Adding more spice to its offering, American Airlines will kick off a new non-stop service to Cancun, Mexico, from Nashville, Tennessee, and Cincinnati, Ohio starting December 9, making the Mexican hotspot even more accessible.
Boosted Service to Mexico from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Dallas-Fort Worth will see a surge in service to seven favorite Mexican destinations, taking the total daily departures from DFW to Mexico past the 50 mark.
More Departures from Miami (MIA) As the largest gateway between the US and Latin America, Miami will see increased departures this winter, with more than 140 daily departures to 70 destinations.
