South Korean Carrier Air Premia to Launch San Francisco Service

South Korean airline Air Premia is set to expand its international operations by launching a new route between Seoul and San Francisco. Starting May 19, the airline will operate this service four times a week, joining the competitive market alongside Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, and United.

Since its debut in the fall of 2021, Air Premia has been steadily increasing its presence in the U.S. market, currently offering routes from Seoul to Los Angeles and Newark. The airline also operates a Seoul-Honolulu route, which is scheduled to continue through early March.

Quark Expeditions is set to enhance its polar expedition offerings by adding the Ocean Explorer to its fleet for the 2024-25 Antarctic season. The Ocean Explorer, a Polar Class 6 icebreaker, is part of the SunStone Maritime Group's Infinity class ships and is capable of carrying 138 passengers.
