The Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), representing American Airlines flight attendants, is intensifying its efforts to obtain approval to strike. APFA President Julie Hedrick expressed frustration over the lack of progress in negotiations, stating, "American management adheres to an economic framework that ignores the sacrifices made by 27,000 flight attendants. The absence of any economic proposal from management since September 2023 has fueled the determination of flight attendants to initiate a strike at the world's largest airline."

SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) is set to introduce a new service connecting Copenhagen and Atlanta, starting June 17. This new route will cater to the increasing demand for travel between these two cities, offering daily flights during the summer season. The service will be operated using Airbus A330 aircraft, ensuring a comfortable and efficient journey for passengers.

UPDATE: Fatal Avalanche at Palisades Tahoe Resort

Palisades Tahoe has reported a tragic update following the avalanche that occurred this morning on the Palisades side of the resort. The incident took place at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the GS gully area, to the skier’s right of the KT-22 chairlift.

In response to the avalanche, Palisades Tahoe Ski Patrol, along with over 100 resort personnel and members of the public, immediately conducted a thorough search of the area. The search utilized avalanche transceivers, probes, RECCO Rescue System technology, and avalanche rescue dog teams.

Palisades Tahoe, formerly known as Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows, is currently facing a critical situation following an avalanche that occurred on the morning of January 10th. The incident took place specifically above the GS gully area of KT-22 on the Palisades side of the mountain.

Unofficial reports from employees indicate that there are multiple people missing in the GS chute area. The severity of the situation is underscored by reports of "multiple burials on GS bowl," leading to the closure of both mountains for safety reasons.
