Cruisers with loyalty status on Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, or Silversea Cruises can now apply that status level across all three lines, thanks to a new initiative by Royal Caribbean Group. The company, which owns the three brands, is introducing a Loyal Status Match program to encourage travelers to stay within its family of brands.
"We want to make sure that if you're going to go on a vacation experience, that it stays within our family of brands, and that you don't need to go outside of our family," stated Jason Liberty, CEO of Royal Caribbean Group.
The program allows guests who gain status with one Royal Caribbean Group brand to enjoy equivalent status across all three lines. For example, grandparents with elite status on Celebrity Cruises or Silversea can maintain their status when sailing with their family on Royal Caribbean International.
Status levels are typically achieved based on the number of nights sailed with a brand, but promotions and special stateroom categories can also accelerate the attainment of status. Once a guest attains a status level, they will automatically have the equivalent tier status on the other two lines. Benefits will include perks such as discounted drinks and priority waitlist seating.
Each brand has its loyalty program: Crown & Anchor Society for Royal Caribbean, Captain's Club for Celebrity, and Venetian Society for Silversea. Guests enrolled in multiple programs will have their highest tier status matched across the brands. Points earned will remain exclusive to the loyalty program of the brand with which the points were accrued.
The Loyal Status Match program will begin on June 5. Guests already enrolled in multiple loyalty programs will be automatically matched across brands within seven days to receive their appropriate loyalty status. However, points will not be pooled or combined between the programs.
