Princess Cruises has unveiled MedallionNet Max, a new high-speed WiFi service offering connectivity robust enough to support video game streaming aboard its ships. The enhanced service is reported to be up to three times faster than the cruise line's previous fastest internet offering.

In a live demonstration of MedallionNet Max's capabilities, Princess Cruises hosted a United Gaming Community (UGC) competition on Wednesday. The event featured 32 gamers competing from the Enchanted Princess vessel against 24 players participating from their homes.
