MSC Cruises is set to launch its first-ever Alaska itineraries in 2026, offering seven-night cruises aboard the MSC Poesia from Seattle. The MSC Poesia, a midsized ship with a capacity of 2,550 passengers at double occupancy, is designed to navigate Alaska’s narrow channels, providing close-up views of the region's glaciers and scenic landscapes. The Biltmore Estate, a major tourist destination in Asheville, N.C., has announced it will reopen on November 2 after being temporarily closed due to damage caused by Hurricane Helene. The 8,000-acre estate shut its doors in late September to address repairs on the grounds and facilities, particularly in low-lying areas affected by flooding and the estate’s main entrance.

Fortunately, key attractions such as the Biltmore House, conservatory, winery, gardens, and lodging facilities—including its hotel and cottages—suffered little to no damage.

Norse Atlantic to Launch Seasonal Service Between Los Angeles and Rome

Norse Atlantic Airways has announced plans to introduce a new seasonal route between Los Angeles (LAX) and Rome starting next summer. Beginning May 22, the budget transatlantic airline will offer flights three times per week on this route.

The airline operates Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which feature both premium economy and economy seating. This new service will put Norse in direct competition with Italy's ITA Airways on the popular transatlantic route.
